Who will this class benefit?

Cooking with Whole Foods for a Growing Family is perfect for parents, teachers, teenagers, grandparents, caregivers and anyone interested in learning the fundamentals of baby, child and family nutrition.  This class is especially essential for women in their childbearing years (this includes women who are planning to get pregnant, currently pregnant or have had a baby in the last five years.)  If you are an intermediate level cook, or have completed the Intro class, come get inspired with fresh, new ideas!

In this class you will learn:

  • Nutritious, delicious recipes and general healthful ideas for the family kitchen.
  • The best foods and supplement products for your whole family.
  • The specific nutritional needs of babies and children.
  • How to eat and supplement with the seasons.
  • How to eat right (for yourself and your baby) before, during and after pregnancy.
  • How parents can become more energetic through nutrition and correct supplementation.
  • How to lose (or gain) post-partum weight in a healthy way.
  • A 5-day school lunch box menu for your kids.
  • Each class comes with its own informational folder (one per student)  including recipes and a plethora of important nutritional information.
  • We will dine on our delicious creations during and at the end of class.
  • All classes are open to ages 14 and up (Younger children can come if accompanied by and adult.)
